Make It Benzie
Benzie County is truly a vacation paradise. It offers everything – pristine lakes and rivers, sandy beaches, beautiful hardwood forests, historic sites and charming small towns featuring unique shops and award-winning restaurants, craft breweries and distilleries – without the mobs of visitors, traffic congestion and over commercialization found in neighboring counties.
Our mission was to create a brand identity that showcased both the most abundant natural resource of the county…water… and the overall experience of vacationing in Benzie. We came up with the name “Make It Benzie!” to replace the cumbersome Benzie County Visitors Bureau, we designed the splashy new logo and crafted the themeline “We Are Northern Michigan.” To engage potential visitors, we created a print campaign that revealed all of the wonderful activities, sites, lodging and shopping/dining options available to visitors throughout the year. We definitely wanted visitors to “Make It Benzie!”
